Goosenecks State Park is located 10 miles north of Mexican Hat, Utah on the San Juan River. Visitors can get a breathtaking view of this 1,000 foot chasm carved by the San Juan River with its distinctive geological formation. Goosenecks State Park is primitive with no drinking water or visitor center.

Goosenecks State Park is open daily with no closures. Pets are allowed in all Utah State Parks but must be on a maximum 6 foot leash. The park does have the following amenities:
  • Observation Shelter
  • Picnic Areas
  • Vault Toilets

Campground Information

Camping is allowed in designated sites only and can accommodate tents or RV's. Campers must come prepared with their own water, food and gear as the weather in summer months can be hazardously hot with very little shade.

Park Fees

Goosenecks State Park does not charge an entrance fee or camping fee due to the primitive nature of the park.
